Climbing
[ OVERVIEW ]Bovilla, about 45 minutes northeast of Tirana, is beside a beautiful reservoir. The climbing ranges from fun 5a slabs to 7c+ roof projects that have yet to see a first accent. There is a small topo available and new routes are currently being developed. This area has the most varied terrain and is an excellent place to climb year-long. Climbs are on either side of a ridge, so there is always shade in the summer and warmth in the winter. A small bar/restaurant near the river opens during the summer – an opportunity to lounge in the cool waters, enjoy a refreshing drink, and sample the local treats.

The canyon of Brar is located just 20 minutes outside the city of Tirana. The routes are steep and challenging: be prepared to warm up on 6c. The approach involves a steep scramble and some of the best climbing that Albania has to offer. The beautiful striped limestone walls and long snaking tuffas will keep you coming back for more.
