Bovilla Lake
[ OVERVIEW ]Bovilla is about 45 minutes north east of Tirana next to a beautiful reservoir. The reservoir of Bovilla has a surface of 3.26 km2 and is great water reserve for the increasing population of the capital. It is supplied by a 60 km2 catchment area.
The climbing ranges from fun 5a slabs to 7c+ roof projects that have yet to see a first accent. There is a small topo available and new routes are currently being developed. This area has the most varied terrain and is an excellent place to climb all year. Climbs are on either side of a ridge so there is always shade from the sun in the summer or warmth in the winter. Additionally, during the summer a small bar/restaurant opens next to the river where you can lounge in the cool waters or enjoy a refreshing drink and local food.
