Darsen Weekend Tour

[ OVERVIEW ]

Named after an Illyrian tribe of the area, this weekend tour offers moderate biking activity, a boat trip and visits to the Eremites monastery and the lovely churches.

The cities of Korça and Tirana are visited as well.

The optimal number of participants is 10-15: upon request, we offer tours for one person, a couple or a family.

These tours and excursions offer unique and economic opportunities to support and sustain the small local businesses that are working to preserve and protect the Albanian natural treasures by sharing them with caring, respectful visitors.

Tour Itinerary

Day One: Arrival and Visit Korca

16:00 Traveling towards Korça

19:00 Upon arrival, a stroll through the city center before a memorable dinner and a welcomed rest in a comfortable hotel.

Day Two: Biking and Boat

8:00 A hearty breakfast fortifies for biking towards Prespa Lake. A lovely boat-ride to the island to visit the Eremites monastery and admire the ancient graffiti offers the additional delight of close-up appreciation of the local pelicans.

13:00 Lunch is the renown fresh lake-fish casserole.

14:00 Returning to Korça.

18:00 A short trip to Voskopoja.

19:00 A traditional restaurant boasts the regional delicacies and a hospitable guesthouse promises sweet sleep.

Day Three: Visit Voskopoja

9:00 A leisurely breakfast before visiting the historic and once very important village, whose ancient mysteries are explained by a local guide and a resident priest.

12:00 Returning to Korça.

13:00 Following another traditional repast, a visit to the old bazaar and the charming Pedestrian Street.

17:00 Traveling towards Tirana.

20:00 A farewell dinner and satisfying snooze in Tirana.

Day Four: Departure

8:00 Breakfast early to allow time for a final appreciation of Tirana’s treasures before the departing flight.
